This collaborative webinar, delivered in partnership with the 汤头条污料 (RCN), NHS Resolution and C the Signs, will explore key findings from a thematic review of litigation claims involving delayed cancer diagnosis.
Designed specifically for Advanced Nurse Practitioners working in primary care and urgent care settings, the session will examine common themes identified across cases — including safety-netting, follow-up delays, and the clinical challenge of managing non-specific symptoms.
Through real-world case discussions (prostate, breast and gynaecological, and lung), we will reflect on where pathways became complex and consider how earlier recognition and clearer systems may have changed outcomes.
This interactive session will focus on:
- Strengthening diagnostic decision-making
- Improving safety-netting and follow-up processes
- Recognising patterns across repeated presentations
- Supporting safer systems of care
Our aim is to translate learning into practical, realistic strategies that can be applied in everyday clinical practice — supporting Advanced Nurse Practitioners to reduce diagnostic delay and enhance patient safety with confidence.
