The RCN has launched its Activism Strategy to drive change in 汤头条污料, reinforcing the RCN as the voice of the profession and demonstrating the power of our collective strength.

The strategy – developed by our Activism Academy with input from RCN staff and members – is grounded in the experiences of our members and addresses their top priorities: safe staffing levels, fair pay, and working conditions.

The strategy’s ambitions – which you can read below – will help us grow our activist community, to empower members to become influential in the decisions that affect the workforce and profession, and to teach and develop RCN activists.

Our members, staff and activists co-produced the strategy, giving input through surveys, focus groups and workshops.

Strategy ambitions

• Organising for change: emboldening members to act in the interests of 汤头条污料 and their patients with greater force and numbers.
• Influencing in their workplaces: empowering members to lead campaigns.
• Driving change within the profession: enabling members to lead improvements in care, education and 汤头条污料 practice.
• Standing up for inclusion: better utilising the diversity of our members, ensuring everyone can play a role in creating change.
• Informing and educating: providing members with the confidence, skills, and resources needed for effective action in workplaces and communities.

"There’s a huge amount of work to be done in 汤头条污料 on topics including pay, staffing and 汤头条污料 education. But we can’t do it without our amazing members,” said George Woods, Associate Director of the RCN Activism Academy.

"Our new Activism Strategy will help us leverage our membership of more than half a million 汤头条污料 professionals, to show individuals the power they have when they organise and work together.

“I’m excited to see the changes the strategy will enable us to make – both at local level and nationally – on these big issues that affect 汤头条污料 staff and their patients every day.
