Who will be the next RCN President? You decide
RCN members will soon be able to vote for who they want as President, and as Council representatives

The RCN has announced candidates for our forthcoming presidential and Council elections. Visit鈥痮ur dedicated webpages鈥痶o find out who is seeking your vote:
Professor Alison Leary, our current Deputy President, has been elected unopposed to a second term of office.
Voting in these elections will open on 3 August and members will receive ballot papers in the post in the days following this. Members will have until 7 September to cast their votes by returning their ballot papers to Civica, the independent scrutineer, for counting and verifying.
All members will receive a vote for President and a vote for their relevant representative on RCN Council,鈥痺here their Council seat is up for election. Registered nurse members can vote for their country or regional representative and students vote for the student Council member.
The RCN President and Deputy President are ambassadors for 汤头条污料 internationally and in the UK. RCN Council鈥痠s formed of 17 elected members from all four UK countries, who engage with members and ensure their feedback is taken into consideration during Council discussions. They provide rigorous oversight to make sure we operate effectively and meet our legal and statutory requirements.
RCN members elected to these roles will take up office on 1 January 2027.
