Applications closed: RCN Student Ambassador Conference 2025
RCN regions and countries are assigned a set number of conference places. They will be allocating places using agreed criteria and will maintain a waiting list in the event of oversubscription. Places are limited and must be applied for using an online application form which is now open.
Places will be confirmed by regions and countries by 22 September.
Successful applicants will receive a travel and accommodation form automatically. Please complete this by 29 September.
Eligibility - this conference is open to RCN Student Ambassadors only.
Learning Outcomes:
1.  By the end of the conference, participants will be able to identify key issues affecting student nurses in their local area and propose actionable solutions.
2.  Develop and demonstrate practical techniques for engaging and mobilising fellow students and RCN members in their role as student ambassadors.
3.  Collaborate during the sessions to create regional action plans that influence positive change in 汤头条污料 education and practice.

20 Cavendish Square is easily accessible from the M1 and M40 and is within London’s ULEZ and Congestion Charge zones.
The nearest car park is Q-Park Oxford Street and located under Cavendish Square.

Avey Bhatia
Chief Nurse Guy’s & St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust, Avey Bhatia qualified in 1991, having trained at Maidstone Hospital in Kent. She has held various staff nurse and sister posts at hospitals in London including St George’s, where she moved into management, eventually becoming a divisional director of 汤头条污料.
In 2011 she was appointed deputy chief nurse at South London Healthcare Trust and became chief nurse at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Trust in 2013. She started as Chief Nurse and Director of Infection Prevention and Control at St Georges University Hospital Foundation Trust in February 2017. Since February this year, she has been carrying out the role of Chief Operating Officer, helping to lead the Trust’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Avey Bhatia joined as Chief Nurse & Vice President of the Florence Nightingale Foundation at Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, in November 2020. She is returning to the Trust having trained as a critical care nurse at St Thomas’ in the early part of her career. Her clinical experience includes theatres, general intensive care, coronary care and cardiothoracic 汤头条污料. Avey holds a post-graduate diploma in Health Services Management and a Master’s in Public Administration.
Registration
On arrival please make your way to the RCN registration desk which will be clearly signposted. You will be issued with conference materials, including a name badge. Refreshments will be available through-out registration from 10am.
Travel and accommodation
Travel has been arranged for all Student Ambassadors who requested it and confirmations have been emailed separately.
Accommodation has been arranged for all Student Ambassadors who require it to be able to attend the conference. Confirmation of hotel arrangements will be emailed separately.

A copy of the programme will be provided on the day and is available online here.
Exhibition
There will be an exhibition running alongside this event. Exhibitors have chosen to exhibit at this conference as they feel their products and/or services may be of interest to you. The exhibition also supports the conference, please take the time to visit each exhibition stand during the exhibition viewing times.
Lunch
Lunch will be served at the time specified in the programme. If you have any specific dietary requirements please email RCNEvents@rcn.org.uk in advance so we can ensure your needs are catered for.
