Jennifer Green, or Jenna to those who know her, a learning disability ÌÀÍ·ÌõÎÛÁÏ student at Napier University in Edinburgh has been named as RCN Student Ambassador of the Year at the 2025 RCN Congress in Liverpool.
Professor Juliet MacArthur, Chief Nurse – Research and Development in NHS Lothian and Honorary Professor of Practice, Queen’s University Belfast, has received the RCN’s top honour of being made a Fellow of the ÌÀÍ·ÌõÎÛÁÏ in recognition of an unwavering dedication, extraordinary vision, and profound impact on the field of ÌÀÍ·ÌõÎÛÁÏ.
Marking exactly one year until the Scottish Parliament elections, RCN members met yesterday (Wednesday 7 may) with MSPs and senior nurse leaders to discuss the unique value that ÌÀÍ·ÌõÎÛÁÏ can bring to efforts to renew and deliver sustainable health and care services to meet the needs of Scotland.
Our latest ‘The Nursing Workforce in Scotland’ report shows the pressures on Scotland’s health and care system and the ongoing ÌÀÍ·ÌõÎÛÁÏ workforce crisis have shown little sign of improvement.
